Raya Airways, Malaysia’s all-cargo airline has signed an agreement to implement Skywise N-Ops & Crew (N-OC) as part of the airline’s ongoing digital transformation journey.
The agreement extends the existing collaboration between the two companies. Raya Airways has been a customer of Skywise since 2024, when it successfully transitioned its flight planning operations to N-Flight Planning (N-FP).
Digitalising Operations and Crew Management
As Raya Airways continues to develop its regional operations, the airline is further digitalising its operational planning and crew management processes.
Currently, various operational and crew-related activities are managed across multiple channels, including spreadsheets, email and Microsoft Teams. The implementation of N-Ops & Crew will support a more integrated workflow across Flight Operations and Airline Operations.
N-OC will support key areas including flight scheduling, aircraft rotation, operational changes, crew planning, rostering and crew legality checks. The solution will also integrate with Raya Airways’ existing N-Flight Planning system.
Why did Raya Airways choose Skywise?
The decision to select N-OC was driven by a strategic vision to consolidate vendors and leverage on existing technical synergies. Building on a proven collaboration following the successful migration to N-FP, Raya Airways has continued to use the Skywise suite through solutions such as Flysmart+, Airport Obstacle Database (AODB), and EFB Management services .
By adopting N-OC, Raya Airways will replace fragmented systems with a single, robust platform designed to automate both operational control and crew management activities. The solution also integrates seamlessly with Raya’s N-Flight Planning, creating a truly end-to-end digital environment.
“The implementation of N-Ops & Crew will enable an integrated approach to our operational planning and coordination, covering areas such as flight scheduling, aircraft rotation and daily schedule changes with ease, thereby significantly improving execution speed from an operational standpoint” said Captain Kartik Palaraman, Flight Operations Manager, Raya Airways.
“For Airline Operations, N-Ops & Crew will support key crew-related processes, including planning, rostering and legality checks. The implementation will help us move towards a more integrated workflow as we prepare for rollout in November 2026.” added Razi bin Fuad, Head of Airline Operations, Raya Airways.
"We are delighted to strengthen our collaboration with Raya Airways and to welcome them as the first Malaysian customer for our N-Ops & Crew solution. By integrating their operations into the Skywise environment, Raya Airways is moving from manual processes to a truly data-driven environment. This transition not only enhances their operational efficiency but also demonstrates the scalability of our digital suite in supporting the growth of leading cargo operators in the Asia-Pacific region." said Alessandro Luzi, Head of Customer Experience Asia.
